My approach

I am passionate about my work.

People often ask me why I like my work so much. One major reason is I love people and helping them is very rewarding for me. I also:

  • Support you through moments of uncertainty, anxiety, and discomfort to regain your balance and inner peace;

  • Walk with you on your journey and support you through it, which is my strength and one of my favourite things to do;

  • Understand you, establish a connection, and develop trust to help your transformation and transcendence;

These are my passions.

Behavioral therapy

In behavior therapy, the main focus is on learning's role in developing both normal and abnormal behaviors.

Existential therapy

In existential therapy, we focus on self-transformation and making more informed choices by better understanding your lived experience and values.

Cognitive therapy

In cognitive therapy, the focus is on what people think rather than what they do.

Humanistic therapy

In humanistic therapy, the main focus is on a person's capacity to make rational choices and develop.

How I can help you?

A few words about myself

Feeling a bit anxious about starting therapy is normal, and I hope getting to know me and the way I function a little more, will help to reduce your anxiety.

I grew up in Hong Kong, which is a vibrant and fast-paced city. The hectic pace of life can be overwhelming and unsettling for some, however, I found a sense of inner peace and calm there.

Coming to a different country without family and friends, there was a mix of feelings of excitement, loneliness, and sadness. There was also a sense of not being understood, of alienation, and of isolation from living in a different culture. These feelings have not gone away entirely because they are part of me and are from my lived experience. Nevertheless, having been in the UK for nearly a decade, they no longer dominate my life and I really enjoy my life here. I have gained a sense of peacefulness and an even better understanding of myself.

I created my private practice based on my professional learning and my own personal life experience. This will help you to feel understood and peaceful in our sessions together, with the goal being that you can live a better and more self-fulfilling life with the use of this safe space.

Following the end of my studies at the University of Bristol, I worked in education for a couple of years to gain practical experience. Having subsequently practiced in the field of psychotherapy for several years, I decided to set up my own private practice.

In recent years, I have continued to deepen my learning with a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology aiming to enrich my knowledge and be able to help my clients at a deeper level.
